We will be focusing on the four basic needs to survive: shelter\, fire\, water\, and food. With these skills we bring awareness into the fold of wilderness skills to understand what is going on around us. We learn forgotten skills and useful crafts that perhaps our ancestors used to survive. By developing skills that increases awareness and comfort of being outdoors\, youth engages in a deeper connection to place and understand the interconnection with human and non human world\, while building on attributes like sense of service\, adaptability\, ingenuity\, and resilience. \nAges 6-12 years\nFriday\nTime: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm\nLocation: Ganong Nature Park\, 350 Todd’s Point Road\nDates: September 5 – December 22\, 2023
